INDIA KASHMIR VIOLENT PROTEST
A young Kashmiri protester drags a burning tyre to block the road during a protest against the arrest of three youth and a girl Malura on the outskirts of Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian Kashmir, 09 August 2007. Hundreds of people staged a massive protest against the arrest of three youth and a girl by Special Operations Group (SOG) of Police during nocturnal raids. Police beat up the protesters with batons and fired in air and used teargas canisters to disperse them in which dozens of protesters were wounded and later many were arrested.
