INDIA KASHMIR KILLING

A relative of Muzaffar Ahmad wails as others try to comfort her at Dangerpora village, some 70 kms south-east of Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian-held Kashmir, Thursday, 09 September, 2004. Villagers told EPA that Muzaffar was killed by Indian soldiers when he was going for prayers on early Thursday morning. Another villager was killed and four others wounded when soldiers fired at the villagers who were protesting against the killing of 30 year old Muzaffar. But the Army said two villagers were killed in a gunbattle which the villagers deny.
