INDIA KASHMIR MUSLIM FESTIVAL
Kashmiri Muslim women raise their hands for prayers as the head priest (not seen) displays the relic of Prophet Muhammad to mark the death anniversary of Hazrat Umar Farooq, the second Khalifah (Caliph) of Islam at Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian Kashmir, 07 January 2008. Hundreds of Kashmiri Muslims gathered at the Hazratbal shrine, which houses a relic believed to be a hair from the beard of Prophet Muhammad, to offer prayers on the occassion.
